Introduction
The great acceptance (more than 150 sponsors, hundreds of publications in the media) and the significant success of the first four conferences induced further upgrading of the conference to the most important annual event for the Technical/Construction and Transportation sector.
With a firm commitment to transforming the conference to an “institution”, the 5th Infrastructure and Transport Conference – ITC 2022 returns stronger and innovative.
Since last year’s conference, the event is now broadcast live, online, providing the opportunity to those who cannot attend physically to watch it from their screen.
Also, from this year ITC 2022 is growing and will now last 3 days. The first day on May 30th will be web only, with 4 panels and specialized topics on Infrastructure and Transportartion. In the evening of the same day the Opening Gala will take place, a closed event for speakers and the business community that support the Conference.
As in 2021, ITC 2022 will be held at the MEGARON Athens International Conference Center (“Banquet” Hall), in one of the most modern and at the same time emblematic conference venues of Greece.
On May 31st and June 1st, 2022, at MEGARON Athens International Conference Center, we will attempt to capture the most recent developments, prospects, but also the challenges in the two interrelated sectors. The two days of the conference, as usual, will be divided as follows:
On May 31st the sessions will be dedicated to Infrastructure/Construction sector and on June 1st to freight and urban Transportation, with more than 40 distinguished speakers.
On May 31st, the conference will start with the Round Table of Infrastructures and there will be, among other, thematic sessions for major projects, energy, tourism & real-estate and the environment.
Respectively on June 1st there will be thematic sessions on urban transport and mobility, rail, air, road freight, courier and logistics. In particular, the current trends in the two industries will emerge, the implementation of the ESG, the fit for 55, Greece’s potentiality via the Recovery Fund and the impact of new technology, while shortcomings and obstacles, create difficulties in the market during the current period.
On both the first and second day of the conference, there will be separate awards for companies that have played and continue to play a significant role in the country’s Infrastructure and Transport sectors and presentations of major projects/case studies, etc.
The social profile of ITC 2022- 5th Infrastructure & Transport Conference
The ITC 2022-5th Infrastructure & Transport Conference, actively supports gender equality. This year the moderators of our panels are 50% women and 50% men. The same applies to the choice of our partners. At the same time, we urge all our speakers not to highlight the male role model in their speeches.
Also, as organizers, we have taken care of the unimpeded access of the disabled, both in the conference area and in all areas of the event. Regarding catering, respecting the different dietary choices, the menus are designed in such a way as to meet vegetarian or vegan needs, but also the need of those who do not consume pork.
